Adriana Lima

The Brazilian model and actress is best known as a Victoria's Secret Angel from 1999 to 2018 and she is the longest-running model and named "the most valuable Victoria's Secret Angel" in 2017. Besides these she is also known as a spokesmodel for Maybelline cosmetics since 2003, and for her Kia Motors and Super Bowl commercials.

She has been the 2nd highest paid model for years.

Her father (Nelson Torres, a carpenter) left the family when she was six months old so was raised by her mother Maria das Graças Lima, a social worker.

She is of Indigenous, Swiss, African, Japanese and West Indian ancestry and speaks four languages: her native Portuguese, English, Italian and Spanish.

She wasn’t interested in modeling even though she won many beauty contests during primary school. Adriana wanted to become a nun when she was a child.  In 1996 she participated at Ford Models Supermodel of the World contest (for the sake of a friend who didn't want to go alone) and finished in second place.  She started modelling as wanted to pursue a career as a paediatrician.

She is good at archery but can not sing. She does charitable work helping with an orphanage.

She is a devout Roman Catholic.

"Sex is for after marriage," she said. "[Men] have to respect that this is my choice. If there's no respect, that means they don't want me."

GQ magazine named her "The World's Most Voluptuous Virgin".

She also denounced abortion as a crime, and agrees with all of the Church's teachings. Adriana is known to bring a copy of the Bible with her backstage before she goes onstage. 

She was criticized because of her harsh diet plan prior to Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show but Google revealed that it was one among the top 5 searched diets in the world in 2012.

Adriana is extremely popular in Italy because of the appearance as the face of their cell phone carrier “Telecom Italia Mobile.”

As actress she debuted in the “The Follow” but also appeared on the American TV series Ugly Betty, How I met your mother and in the film Ocean's 8 among others.

She was in a relationship with singer Lenny Kravitz. They  got engaged and Adriana was featured on the music video for Kravitz's 2002 single, "Yesterday Is Gone (My Dear Kay)". After that she was dating Prince Wenzeslaus of Lichtenstein.

In 2009 she married to NBA player Marko Jarić but they divorced in 2016. They have two daughters: Valentina (2009) and Sienna (2012). Adriana started dating film producer Andre Lemmers in 2021. They have a son Cyan (2022).
