Izabel Goulart

Izabel, her sister and four brothers grew up in a middle-class family with some financial difficulties, but there was always love. Her mother is a housewife and her father worked as a house painter.

She has childhood scars — one on her leg from falling off a wall onto glass, and one on her chin from running away when her brother scared her with a goat.

At school she was teased for being very thin and called “giraffe,” but at 14 she was discovered while grocery shopping with her mother after a hairstylist suggested modeling.

Her career began with a wardrobe malfunction at her first fashion show, when her top fell open, yet she later walked for most of the A-list designers. The Brazilian beauty has appeared on the covers of magazines such as Marie Claire and Vogue, and walked in every Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show from 2005 to 2016.

She is fluent in Portuguese, English and French. One of her brothers has type 1 diabetes, so she does charitable work.

Izabel does kickboxing and Pilates religiously and meditates every day. She also completed a 10 km run in Paris with Nike and Vogue as part of an active-lifestyle campaign.

She had a small acting role in Two and a Half Men as Charlie’s girlfriend.

She is in a long-term relationship with German footballer Kevin Trapp, who is six years younger than her, and they have been engaged since 2018.
