Tatjana Patitz

Tatjana was born in Hamburg but raised in Skanör, Sweden. Her parents met at a wine tasting in a bodega in Spain and fell in love for first sight. Her father was German travel journalist so the family travelled a lot. Her mother was an Estonian dancer who performed at Le Lido in Paris. She spent summers at her family's  vacation home on the island of Mallorca where she participated in horse camps.

The vegetarian lady learned to ride horses at the age of seven and she was an avid horsewoman who fought for animal rights.

The German model, actress was one of the "big five" supermodels who appeared in the 1990 music video "Freedom! '90 by George Michael but also appeared in a Duran Duran and a Korn music video.

Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour stated that she had always been one of her favorite models. She had one son, Jonah. Before his birth she was in a long-term relationship with recording artist Seal.

On 11 January 2023, she died of  breast cancer at age 56.
