Candice Swanepoel

She raised in an Afrikaner family of Dutch with distant African (Angolan and Ethiopian), English, Indian, Indonesian, and Norwegian descent. Candice grew up in a dairy and beef farm with her father Willem, mother Eileen, who is  an aerobics teacher and her older brother Stephen who became a professional golfer. Her father is from Zimbabwe, previously known as Umtali. Her mother nicknamed her, Moosie but also calls her Lucie.

While growing up, Candice was a ballet dancer. Later attended boarding school but at age 15, she was spotted by a model scout in a Durban flea market.

The originally brunette beauty nearly quit modelling before became a Victoria's Secret model. She was lonely and industry insiders kept telling her to lose more and more weight.

She was chosen to wear the 10 million dollar "Fantasy Bra" in the 2013 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

In 2018, she launched her own swimwear collection Tropic of C. She does charity work to fight HIV in Africa.

Candice loves boxing, pilates, and yoga. Аt thе еnd оf а hard day, hеr favorite thing tо dо іs snuggle uр wіth hеr dog, Luna. Her go-to karaoke song is The Pocohontas song “Colors of the Wind” or anything Disney. She’s friends with Behati Prinsloo and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

She is fluent in Afrikaans, English and Portuguese, which she learnt from Hermann Nicoli. She has been dating a Brazilian model since they met in Paris when she was 17. They have two sons, Anacã and Ariel, but they split in 2018.
