Edita grew up near the nature, forests with her younger sister, Karolina. Their father is a teacher, their mother a housewife. She was discovered when she was 16 years old by model scout from Women Management when she was walking in the street on a family vacation.

Before the model years she played basketball rode horses and became an accomplished pianist. She also plays the guitar, drums, and accordion. At school she was good at maths and chemistry. Her family didn't have money for travelling so nowadays Edita can give this pleasure to them. She likes skiing but prefers sunny climates.

"I hadn't even heard of Kate Moss and I never, never thought about modelling - it was so far from my world..... We only had a few TV channels and the computer came late."

She has already appeared in photo spreads for Dior Beauty, Vogue Paris and Emporio Armani.

Mario Testino is one of her favourite photographers, even her parents are crazy about him. One of her favourite work was with Karl Lagerfeld, appearing in his silent movie as Coco Chanel.

She adores Italian food.

"I love Lithuanian food, too, but I didn't realise how heavy it was until I left it - everything is with potatoes."

She is a mad kite-surfer and a fan of old-school rock'n'roll like the Eagles, Neil Young or the Rolling Stones.

"Being in this business has taught me to love the things about myself."

Edita embodies high fashion coolness, elegance, grace and flawless beauty combined with more than just a dash of sexiness.

The model is not afraid of posing nude. She and Zac Efron were featured in an erotic Interview magazine photo shoot.

She played in the short movie  Persona (2013).

She married to Björn Frederic Gerling in 2017.
