Her sister, Bella Hadid and brother Anwar are famous models as well. Her mother, Jolanda Foster is a Dutch-American television personality, former model. Her father, Mohamed Hadid is a Jordanian-American real estate developer.

In 2013, Gigi graduated from Malibu High School, where she was captain of the varsity volleyball team as well as a competitive horseback rider.

The half palestinian girl got her start by modeling with Guess at the age of 2. In 2013 she moved to New York City, studied criminal psychology at university, but suspended her studies to focus on her modeling career. Her mother starred in an American reality TV show, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills so she is with her sister.

Besides the magazine covers she has worked with all the great fashion houses and of course Victoria’s Secret.

One of her best friends is Kendall Jenner and also Taylor Swift.

She adores escape rooms and collects mini bags, has a soft spot for cooking and does boxing to stay fit. Loves a Good Egg Breakfast with orange juice and coffee.

She was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease. In 2016 a stranger tried to pick up her after a fashion show, but Gigi defended herself.

She has built a huge social-media following.

She could be seen in several music videos, like in Flower by Cody Simpson, who was dating with her for 2 years.

After that Gigi started dating with former One Direction star Zayn Malik in 2015  after they met on the set of his music video. The couple split in 2018 but now (2020) they reunited and Gigi is waiting for their baby.
