Lais Ribeiro

She grew up in Teresina, Piauí, a remote rural town with her father, a sales manager and her mother who was an assistant in a restaurant. Her parents divorced. Lais was in training to become a nurse. A year after giving birth to her son Alexandre (2008), she gave in to a friend's advice and started working as a model.  She barely spoke English when moved to New York. Besides her photoshoots and runway works, campaigns  she also works for Victoria's Secret. 

She cried when she found out she was a Victoria’s Secret Angel.

Lais loves dancing, goes to the gym every day and her beauty tip is to sleep and drink a lot of coconut water. 

Lais loves house music and Brazilian artist Nando Reis. Her most valued treasure is the time spent with her son Alexandre.

She was in relationship with basketball player Jared Homan but in September 2018, she began dating NBA player Joakim Noah.

She said in an interview:

“I’m so proud to be Brazilian!  I love the energy of the people and we have the best food.”
