Lily Donaldson

Lily grew up in London with her younger sister Aurelia, her mother Tiffany Jesse and father Matthew Donaldson who is a fashion and stills photographer. Her parents divorced when she was 16; her mother now lives country life with chickens, dogs, cats, pony. Lily has three younger half-siblings, too and Mick Fleetwood, the famous blues, rock musician and actor is her great-uncle.

She attended the prestigious Camden School for Girls and intended to go to art school when was scouted at the age of 16 while shopping in the district. 

She is known for appearing on the covers of Vogue UK, Australia, and Italy simultaneously in 2009 when she was declared one of the top 30 models of the 2000s. Besides fashion shows and camapigns she has appeared in six Victoria's Secret Fashion Shows and Pirelli Calendar in 2008.

Lily likes reading, playing the piano and painting in oils, mainly naked bodies, or abstracted human forms. She is close friends with Gemma Ward and Irina Lazareanu.

Lily had a horse-riding accident in about 2015 which left her unable to walk for three months.

"I'm so, so lucky. I was knocked out by the tree, so I don't really remember anything."

She is dating French artist, Cyprien Gaillard since 2013. Before that she has been linked with Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld and was rumored to be dating American swimmer, Michael Phelps as well in 2008.
