"There were only cows around. There was no Vogue."
She began modeling after she won the 2001 Elite Model Look competition at the age of 15.
It started with a vacation with her family when two people scouted her on the street. One of them was the director of Elite at the time, and he said:
“Do you wanna do the [Elite Model Look] contest?” My dad was like, “Yes, of course!”
In 2003 she landed her first major cover for Italian Vogue, photographed by Steven Meisel.
She was seen in advertising campaigns, on runway shows and she also featured in cosmetic campaigns for Versace, Chanel for example.
She starred in Lenny Kravitz’s music video for his single, “The Chamber”.
She’s said to be a funny, loquacious woman.
Rianne prefers having dinner and meeting friends than going out to clubs. She is a workout fanatic. She does a lot of yoga, goes boxing sometimes, runing or cycling and likes listening to soul music.
When she was asked about her far future she answered:
"I want to get a nice little country house somewhere warm and grow tomatoes."
