Diana Gärtner

Name: Diana Gärtner

Born: 1978 (Frankfurt, Germany)

Birthday: 22 January

Nationality: German

Diana studied classical ballet and played both the violin and viola when she was young. Her interest in ballet remained with her later in life, and in her free time she also enjoyed reading and motorcycling. She completed her regular studies and later studied nutrition before starting her modeling career.

The German beauty was discovered in a pizzeria in Paris by a scout from Metropolitan Modeling. After deciding to try modeling, her first job was a L'Oréal hair commercial.

Her first runway show took place in 1996. During her career she worked for major fashion houses such as Yves Saint Laurent, Giorgio Armani, Jean Paul Gaultier, Kenzo, and Givenchy. She also appeared in advertising campaigns, including being the face of the Dior “Dune” perfume.

During her years as a model she spent more than a decade living between Paris and New York because of frequent fashion shows and work commitments.

Diana was appreciated for her elegant runway presence and distinctive yet balanced facial features. Designers valued her ability to adapt to different styles, from minimalist looks to more avant-garde fashion, and she was known as a professional and reliable model to work with.

After her years in fashion, she studied interior design and later co-founded Ubooker, an online platform connecting models with clients.

She also appeared in a small role in the film CQ (2001). Known for her quiet and rather intellectual personality, she has kept her private life largely out of the public eye.
